Lake County Warrant Records Lake County Warrant Records

This page explains what this site can and cannot help with, and where to send a question about an official Lake County warrant. Most requests belong with the court that issued the order or the sheriff's office that serves it. A few belong with the city police department that wrote the report. The routing below sends each need to the right office. A call to the right number usually settles a question faster than a drive to Two Harbors, and the counters listed here keep weekday hours. Nothing on this page reaches a government office, so a reader still has to make the contact directly.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. It cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bail, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For any of those, contact the issuing court or the sheriff's office directly.

Here is where the most common Lake County questions belong:

  • A court case or warrant status: Lake County Court Administration keeps the file and the calendar, and its staff can say what the judge requires next
  • Service, custody, or the published list: the Lake County Sheriff's Office handles court orders, the jail, and the county warrant list
  • A bench warrant for a missed date: the district court that set the case issued the warrant and holds it
  • A city citation or police report: the city police department that wrote it, whether that is Two Harbors or Silver Bay
  • Resolving a warrant: a licensed Minnesota attorney and the issuing court, working from the case number

The county's main contacts are Lake County Court Administration, 601 Third Ave., Two Harbors, MN 55616, (218) 595-5001, open weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Lake County Sheriff's Office, 613 3rd Ave., Two Harbors, MN 55616, (218) 834-8385, sheriff@lakecountymn.gov, open weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

City police departments publish their own numbers. Two Harbors Police can be reached at (218) 834-5566, and Silver Bay Police can be reached at (218) 226-4486. Beaver Bay does not publish a police department, so county questions there go to the sheriff.
